Lucanet released a new version of its software on November 13: Lucanet 24. The most notable features are the changes to the front end of Lucanet.Client and the major improvements to the Lucanet.Webclient. In addition, a number of quick wins have been implemented, such as support for SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) and a minor adjustment to the Excel add-in. Nice additions that leave us wanting more.
The user interface of the traditional client had not been updated for quite a number of years. With Lucanet 24, this changes. Many changes are purely aesthetic: the main menu is now dark blue to create more contrast with the explorer screen, and the icons have been modernized. In addition, some options, such as the option to expand all accounts at once, have been removed from the task bar and are now only available in the context menu (right-click). Overall, the changes are a real improvement. The user interface is now more modern, less busy, and more user-friendly.
In the interim release of Lucanet 23.1, the appearance of the Lucanet.Webclient had already been updated and the option to create your own KPI dashboard was introduced. In release 24, they continued to build on this. As a user, you now have the option to create multiple dashboards. In addition, it is now also possible to create certain elements from the client. This applies to accounts, items, references, (sub)totals, and folders. Finally, there is now also a Knowledge Base (Documentation | Lucanet Support), specifically for the documentation of the Lucanet.Web Client. This also includes video tutorials and feels much more modern than the Online Help within the traditional Lucanet client.
Overall, these are very welcome additions, and we are looking forward to further improvements to the Webclient in future versions. For example, the reading function of the webclient would benefit from the ability to drill down to transaction level. It would also be very useful if the Knowledge Base started to include information for the traditional Lucanet.Client.
