New (and returning) Lucanet users often ask the same question: how do I install Lucanet.Client on my PC or on a colleague’s PC? In this article, we explain how to install both Lucanet.Client and the Excel add-in.
Please note: this concerns the installed application, which you can use to perform imports and consolidations, among other things. For read-only access, the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform is usually sufficient. All you need for this is a link.
Before starting Lucanet.Client, you first need Lucanet.Software Manager.
The Lucanet Excel add-in for Windows can be downloaded here: Lucanet.Excel-Add-In – Lucanet
Method 1: via database link
You can paste the link to the database directly into your browser. It usually has the following structure: lns://lncloudXXXXXXXX.lucanet.cloud/goto/LNFC/[database name]. Please note: the link indeed starts with lns (LNS in capital letters) and the address after the / starts with lncloud (LNCLOUD in capital letters). So no capital letter i.
If Lucanet.Client is already installed, the link can be found under About Lucanet.
Method 2: via the Lucanet.Software Manager
If the method via the link does not work, you can install the client manually:
For several months now, Lucanet has also had an Excel add-in that works with Excel 365. This connects to the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform. It must therefore already be activated for the Lucanet environment. Your consultant can advise you on whether it is advisable to install this add-in. Please note that the add-in installed in step 1 and this add-in cannot be active at the same time.
To activate this add-in, do the following:
You can then log in to this add-in. To do so, you will need the URL of the Lucanet CFO Solution Platform.
